This beautiful sweater is designed by Danish Knitting Academy who has donated the knitting pattern and the knitted model to Frisenvang. We are immensely grateful. Karen writes:
Marcapata Sweater 💜This sweater is dedicated to @frisenvang who supports a small group of Peruvian alpaca breeders. The sweater is knitted in handspun babyalpaca and has a colourfull yoke combined with fancy heeringbone knit. The pattern will be sold by @frisenvang and full amount will go to her project and support the Peruvian artisans and help the children go to school ❤️
The sweater is knitted in Frisenvang’s this baby alpaca yarn (running meter 150-200 pr. 100 gram) on needle 6.
The knitting set contains yarn and knitting pattern.
Pls. be aware that the plant colored yarn can have access colors and can thus color your hands when you knit. This is due to the fact that no chemicals have been used to prevent access colors which is normally the case with yarn produced in a factory. Our experience is that access colors will be present when you wash the yarn for the first 2-3 times.
When you buy natural yarn from Frisenvang you are contributing to improving living conditions for families in the Andes Mountains who now are living below the poverty line. See more in section ”the good cause”.
